We had a great turn out in Wynne, AR, and via live stream Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Concepts of Truth International Fundraising Gala. We want to say a huge “Thank You” to all who attended and helped us Rejoice 15 Years of Faithfulness. The evening was a great time to do just that, Rejoice. It was our 15th annual Fundraising Gala, and we took a look back to see where we started and how we’ve grown with the help of our faithful supporters. We recognized our board, from those who have been with us from the very beginning, to the newest member who joined us this year. We heard personal stories and testimonies from our International Helpline, both from our staff who answer calls, to a previous caller, who is now a staff member. We shared about the work we’re doing in the schools with our Concepts of Sexual Health curriculum and about our Abortion Recovery Weekends, International Trainings and our recent UN youth panel event. Finally, we looked at our Mission and Vision to see where we are headed for our next 15 years. The mission of Concepts of Truth is to share God’s truth about life around the world providing counseling services, and a model for sexual health educating in abortion recovery and prevention to equip the whole person to make healthy life choices and empower future generations.
We want to extend a special thanks to all our table sponsors, Wynne High School Jr. ROTC, The Rose of Sharon for decorations, Curtis Lumber for donating supplies, and all the volunteers who helped decorate including the agriculture department and art department at Wynne High School. Lisa Love, Dr. Conner and Wynne Baptist Church who helped us stream our gala live for the very first time, THANK YOU! We were honored with the presence of two State Senators. Thank you, Senators Caldwell and Rapert for participating in our Gala. Millie Lace, Founder/Director, stated “We truly have much to Rejoice!”
We had a goal of raising $50,000 that surpassed any goal we’ve had before at our Gala…and we made it! Thanks to all who contributed, we raised a total of $51,907.65. Our one-time donations that night were $10,430, with $17,520 in total pledges over the next 12 months, and $23,957.65 from table sponsors and contributors. We are Rejoicing!
