Dr. Rich Hoffman

Dr. Rich Hoffman is the Founder and Clinical Director of Christian Counseling Associates (CCA). CCA is a leading faith-based group private practice organization that provides mental health treatment and drug and alcohol rehabilitation, offering outpatient and intensive outpatient services. It has over 80 locations and a staff of over 100 Counselors in Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Ohio, New York, West Virginia, and Liberia, West Africa.

With over 25 years of clinical, academic, and business experience, Dr. Hoffman provides leadership, organizational oversight, and strategic management to CCA and the Foundation for Christian Counseling (FFCC).

Dr. Hoffman has taught psychology and behavioral sciences for over 20 years at the University level as an adjunct professor with past service at the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University. He currently holds adjunct faculty status at Methodist University in Monrovia, Liberia, where he lectures at the School of Divinity, training master-level students in pastoral counseling-related courses. Dr. Hoffman has been invited to speak to national and international conferences and audiences on issues of psychology, mental health and Christian faith.

Dr. Hoffman is licensed to practice professional clinical counseling in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. He is a member of The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and a Board Certified Christian Counselor. He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (NCMHC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor through the Center for Credentialing & Education, as well as a trained mediator. He has been certified as an expert psychological witness in the Family Court Systems in Pennsylvania, where he has provided expert testimony and consultation.

Practice specialty areas include but are not limited to treating clinical depression, generalized anxiety, specific phobias, complex trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Academic specialty areas include Counseling Theories and Techniques, Psychological Theories of Personality, and Issues regarding Human Sexuality and Relationships. Dr. Hoffman also provides expert-level seminars on Group Therapy and Marital and Family Therapy.
